The majority of the files pertain to old age assistance, while a sizable portion of what remains document to aid to dependent children, the disabled, and general medical assistance. A handful cases deal with aid to the blind. Files include applications for relief, field workers' report sheets which contain narrative accounts of case background, face sheets containing varied information about the applicant, correspondence, and related documents.
