Photographs and photocopied newsclippings documenting the career of Barczak, a Polish American politician who was a West Allis, Wisconsin, alderman (1936-1956) and Milwaukee County sheriff and treasurer (1956-1974). The photos of Barczak were taken while he was alderman, and receiving awards later in his life. The clippings illustrate Barczak's 1937, 1952, and 1956 electoral victories; a 1954 raid on a stag party; his participation in county and national Democratic politics; and his 1965 selection as Man of the Year by Lodge 2159 of the Polish National Alliance.
