The scrapbooks contain annotated clippings of a series of accounts and reminiscences written by Stoner for Madison's Wisconsin State Journal; songs; obituaries; sketches of persons and events in the state; and articles about Stoner. Included are accounts of Stoner's mining experiences in Colorado, 1876-circa 1888, and other Western travels.
