Records of an independent socialist organization, founded in 1986 with a commitment to a broad regrouping of the revolutionary socialist left and outlining general principles of revolutionary socialism in an American context. Solidarity worked to form links between various social movements, including labor unions, the environmental movement, the feminist and reproductive rights movements, and the gay rights movement. Included are the organization's founding documents containing materials relating to the formation of organizational policies and principles; minutes of the National Committee, 1989-1997; meetings files, 1986-1996, which contain documentation from the meetings of the National Committee and other committees, conventions, and commissions; subject files for assorted issues of concern to Solidarity, 1986-1991; and writings consisting of pamphlets, bulletins, and other writings by Solidarity members.
