Jet-exit designs were tested in still and moving air. If exit is improperly designed, jet may suffer a deflection on leaving nozzle and cause erratic variation of stability and trim with speed. At lower Mach numbers, very small deviation of jet is likely unless internal fairing is unsymmetrical at jet exit. If fairing between wing and rocket unit suspended underneath is too blunt, jet may be drawn toward wing.
