Collection of Wisconsin photographer Lewis Koch consisting of transparencies, prints, and publications. The transparencies include images of the Wisconsin Folklore Festival held at the Capitol Square (Madison, Wis.) in 1998; the Taliesin and Hillside School Studio in Spring Green; two Wisconsin Grottos in Dickeyville and Rudolph; the Circus World Museum; downtown Baraboo and the International Crane Festival in Baraboo; the Fred Smith Concrete Park in Phillips; and original fieldwork images by Koch from "A Kingdom of Fiddlers: Old-Time Music Traditions in the Rural Community". The prints principally document "Sites of Southern Wisconsin," a National Endowment for the Arts Photography Survey grant project. Publications include Sites of Southern Wisconsin: Three Photographers view Commonplace Structures and the Built Environment and Farmhouse Fiddlers: Music and Dance Traditions in the Rural Midwest as well as the teacher's guide, filmstrip and cassette tape of A Kingdom of Fiddlers.
