Performance consists mostly of groups of directed individual recitations. Some group singing is also included, sometimes simultaneously with recitations. Improvisation and/or less-than-perfect performance are encouraged.
This score consists almost entirely of textual instructions; a few melodies are also included. The work investigates what the individual gains and loses by being part of a large crowd.
