In the current state of global upheaval with the rallying call for human rights and justice for people who have been historically marginalized, the curriculum must be decolonized to ensure that children identified as marginalized and at risk are receiving an equitable education that is based on respect and acceptance of their cultural heritage as well as their human rights.
