Provides overview of nuclear programs in Iran, and describes legal authority for International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) board investigations. Discusses UN Security Council requirements for Iran to cooperate fully with IAEA investigation of its nuclear activities, to suspend its uranium enrichment program and construction of a heavy water reactor and related projects, and to ratify additional protocol to its IAEA safeguards agreement. Examines claims that Iran has violated the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which it signed in 1970.
