This collection contains the diaries and correspondence of Charles Enigl, his wife, Janice (DeBroux) Enigl, and his mother-in-law, Glennie DeBroux. The diaries of all three individuals span decades and record their daily lives. The diaries of Charles include his high school years, teaching experiences, and supporting his wife in her battle with cancer. The diaries of Janice depict her high school life in Door County as well as her daily life as a married woman and her health issues. Glennie's early diaries focus on her daily life in rural Door County while the later diaries detail her experiences in a nursing home. The correspondence of 1952-1956 covers Charles Enigl's time in the Army Engineering Corps as well as his courtship and marriage to Janice DeBroux. Additional correspondence with family and friends spans the years 1942-2007.
