The work deals with the internal conflict that was unleashed within the Falange around the promulgation in Salamanca, on April 20, 1937, of the so-called Unification Decree, the legal norm by which General Franco merged the political parties Falange Española of the National Syndicalist Offensive Boards (FE de las JONS) and the Traditionalist Communion, creating a new single party called the Traditionalist Spanish Falange and of the National Trade Union Offensive Boards (FET and de las JONS). Based on what is collected by the most serious and considered historiography on the Falange and taking as a source the Salamancan press of the moment (El Adelanto: Diario politician de Salamanca and La Gaceta Regional: Diario de Salamanca), the book reveals how this fight was carried out by the legitimists of the "El Ausente" clan, José Antonio Primo de Rivera, the fascist intellectuals around the head of the Provisional Command Board, Manuel Hedilla, and the careerists who joined the party after the civil-military uprising of July 1936. The events took place entirely between November 1936 and April 1937 in Salamanca, capital of the rebellious Spain, where Franco's General Headquarters and the main national and international forces that supported the coup d'état were established. The outcome of this struggle between Falangists had a great impact on the political future of the Francoist State.
