Heinz Holliger and Maurice Bourgue are individually two of the most sought-after oboists performing today. In this rare dual appearance at a concert given in the Queen's Hall, Edinburgh, they perform works for two oboes: Duet No 3 in E flat major by Wikhelm Friedmann, eldest son of Johann Sebastian Bach, Oboe Sequenza, the work Berio composed speically for Holliger, Holliger's own A Study on Chords, and Sonata No 5 in F major by Zelenka, in which they are joined by German bassoonist Klais Thunemann.
