It has ecome quite intertwined with Christian Orthodoxy, but through folklore and archeology, a relatively clear distinction has managed to form, with certain themes and spirits identifed with specific Slavic groups. Then it will give an account of what Christian Orthodoxy is, through the political structure and the basis of its beliefs. With these ideas in mind, the thesis will discuss the importance of women in both religions, and how they managed to retain some of the power they once had during pagan times to modern Christian times."--Page 2.
