The "Subsidy period" was the period from 1964 to 1975 in the North and from early 1976 to late 1986 in the whole country. To relive the country's hardships and difficulties in the early period of development to socialism, Vietnam News Agency Publishing House has compiled this photobook consisting of three parts: Life during wartime, "The night before renewal" and Renewal for advancement. The last chapter takes the reader through the twenty years since the subsidy perioed (1986-2016). The book brings readers back to everyday life in the years of war against the U.S. Aggression when the North spared no effort to assist the South. It was an unforgettable tragic stage in national history.
