Description: Two sketch maps of the area (now in the North-West Territories and Nunavut, Canada) between the Mackenzie River, the Great Slave Lake and the Burnside River, one titled a 'Chart according to Boileau' and the other a 'Copper Indian Guide's Map'. They show the Great Bear Lake, the source of Coppermine River, other lakes and rivers (with their native names), hills, and Fort Providence. Also marks the place where three Europeans were killed, 'Boileau's track', and a Chipewyan Indian track. Reference note to distances. [Based on information supplied by 'Beaulieu' (a half-Native American interpreter) and an old Chipewyan Indian; produced by Robert Hood].
