Papers of Garrick Utley, a national, television news journalist that worked for NBC, ABC and CNN from 1963 to 2002. The papers consist of writings and lectures, subject files, scripts, and audio/visual materials. Writings and lectures include correspondence, articles, his reporters notebooks, various lectures he gave and events he attended, news clippings, awards and memorabilia and a copy of his book "You Should Have Been Here Yesterday: A Life in Television News" (2000). The scripts are written for or by Utley principally while he was anchor/moderator for a variety of NBC programs including Nightly News and Meet the Press as well as some of his later work with ABC and CNN.
