In the vast, open tracts of the Kruger National Park, an area the size of Belgium, a helicopter is the most efficient way to get around. On this occasion it is being used to carry a Wild Life Vet to find a specific elephant- a young female which was selected for a pilot scheme on a new form of contraception. She was vaccinated and fitted with a radio collar several months ago and the team want to know if the contraception has succeeded- or if she has become pregnant.
