Description: A British Monitor ship shelling a village off the coast of the Dardanelles. The ship has her guns pointed towards the cliffs on the left of the composition. A trail of grey smoke steams from her funnel, but also from the guns on deck which have just been fired. There are several other ships at sea in the distance, and a spurt of water from return gunfire just in front of the Monitor.
