P. 46--The bigamy law, in Norwegian, bigamiloven, also known as Lex Nygaardsvold, was enacted Apr. 15, 1942, as an amendment to the marriage law, by the exiled Norwegian government in London, and repealed Oct. 3, 1945. It allowed a Norwegian man stationed outside of Norway to divorce his wife without contacting her. After the war the divorced wives received no pension or child support.
