A series of untapered, unswept, complete wings of apsect ratios 1.13, 2.13, 4.13, and 6.13 was investigated at a Mach number of 0.26 to determine the effect of aspect ratio on the lateral control characteristics of the wings equipped with 0.25-chord sealed ailerons of various spans and of various spanwise locations. Design charts are presented for computing aileron effectiveness of low-aspect-ratio, untapered, unswept wings. Experimental values of control effectivenesss are compared with values estimated by theoretical methods.
