This poll, the first of two fielded in December 2013, is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that solicit public opinion on a range of political and social issues. Respondents were asked about their general attitudes toward the government, economy, the direction of the country, and health care issues including the Affordable Care Act (ACA) health care reform law of 2010. Opinions were collected on the coverage, quality, affordability, and source of respondents health insurance, along with reasons for being uninsured. Furthermore, respondents provided speculation on the impacts, both personal and nationwide, of the health care law (ACA) passed in 2010, as well as their approval of components of the law. Additional topics of the poll include use and understanding of health care online exchange Web sites, specifically Healthcare.gov, and the problems respondents faced using the sites. Demographic information includes sex, age, race, marital status, education level, household income, religious affiliation, type of residential area (e.g., urban or rural), political party, and political philosophy.Cf: http://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR36064.v1
