This survey collected information on participants in adult and continuing education activities throughout the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Conducted by the Bureau of the Census as part of the CURRENT POPULATION SURVEY, May 1969 (ICPSR 7996), the adult education survey collected information on types of courses taken, types of institutions or agencies offering courses, reasons for taking the courses, and the respondent's age, sex, and race.
