This poll is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that solicit public opinion on the presidency and on a range of other political and social issues. Respondents were asked to give approval ratings of President Bill Clinton and the National Rifle Association (NRA) and to respond to a series of questions on the Oklahoma City bombing and the handling of the situation by Clinton and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Other issues such as a ban on assault weapons, terrorism, and the growth of militia organizations were examined. Background information on respondents includes voter registration status, political party, political orientation, education, age, sex, race, and family income.Cf: http://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR02072.v3
