Imagine that one of the people most dear to you is suddenly taken by the police, imprisoned and expelled from Italy. Imagine what could happen to your father, your partner, your mother, a son or a brother. This is not for committing a crime or a violent act, but only for the lack of proper documentation. And 'what a real danger so distressing for the families of many immigrants placed in our society but in conflict with the bureaucracy. This is the reality experienced by Alejandro, Bouchaib, and Peter Karim, detained in CIE (Centers for Identification and Expulsion) in Turin, Trapani and Rome - often far away from their homes - and their families, who are waiting in limbo to find out if their loved ones will return home or be sent away from Italy. Limbo tells their stories waiting, anger and fear, of suffering in the balance between different families and cultures. Stories in which children seem to only be able to endure the suffering destinies and the absence of fathers and the women have to bear the weight of an unjust law and heartless.
