Journal of Winifred Atkinson describing her journey west with her sister, Etta, from Albany (Wis.) by train to Gotherburg (Neb.) before heading to the mountains in a covered wagon. The sisters are accompanied by the Elmer Peckham family and the journal gives a daily recounting of the trip from 1 May to 18 September, 1902 with descriptions of the weather, terrain, and places they visited. Also included are two articles submitted to the local paper describing the trip through Colorado to the National Park (Yellowstone?) and returning by way of Cody (Wyoming) and Hot Springs (South Dakota). Also included is a wedding notice of Winifred Atkinson to Olen Kittelsen on December 10, 1907 and three photographs of Winifred Atkinson Kittlesen and Etta Atkinson Edwards.
