Papers of Loraine Rainee Fitterer, whose husband, Emil Fitterer, and his family, owned Capital Brewery in Milwaukee. Loraine Fitterer was in correspondence with Augustus Gingell, an inmate in San Quentin Prison, and the collection includes his pardon from Governor James Rolph, a letter regarding the use of Gingells story for a film, a novel written by Jon Wyche about Gingell, and several hand-painted cards from Augustus to Loraine. Also included is Loraine's scrapbook, which contains journal entries, various ephemera, photographs, postcards, song sheets, and telegrams.
