She writes about the weather, her family (Pop, sister Martha (1857-1931), sister Ellie [Eleanor Perry] (1869-1923), Aunt Ruth [Rettie], Uncle Jim, Uncle James [McCauley], Cousin Martha, Grandmother), visits and visiting family and friends (Dollie and Annie McMorris; Ellie, Fannie, Lily, and Gertie Long; George Riddle; Emma and George Bonnin; Ben Harvey; Hattie and Charlie Godfrey; Charlie and Somers Randolph; "Beck"), attending meetings and church, going to class, doing household chores (cleaning, sewing, ironing, washing). Lydie writes about sister Ellie's 14th birthday on February 23, Ida Abbott's funeral on April 29, a circus parade on April 30, moving to live with "Auntie" on June 14, her 20th birthday on July 25.
