A collection of World War II-era communication devices used by military personnel in the United States and Royal Canadian Navies: two copies of a two-sided hand semaphore training tool (patent no. 2353238) which instructed users on the various flag positions used in semaphore signalling, each composed of a rotating disc marked with the letters of the alphabet and signal flags, sandwiched between two discs with cutouts showing the proper arm position for someone sending or receiving the message, one from the US Navy and one from the Royal Canadian Navy; and a Royal Canadian Navy International Morse Code communications device (patent no. 2376586), with a window for flashing short and long bursts replicating a signal lamp, and the Mose Code alphabet to the reverse.
