Ely Thélot (1976) is a sociologist and poet. He has been awarded prizes at many poetry contests including prix de la Radio Nationale de Haïti, prix de la Télévision Nationale de Haïti, prix littéraire de la francophonie, and prix Jean Brierre de poésie (Fondation AfricAmerica). His previous poetry collections include Mouvance des sources : poésie (2004), Ton rire est une aube inconnue (2004), Crampe à l'âme, poèmes, (2002), Démesure, poème (1998), Quelque part dans tes yeux (1993).
