Discusses Title III, known as the Enhancing Financial Institution Safety and Soundness Act of 2010, which abolishes the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) and contains extensive provisions respecting rights of affected employees as well as other administrative matters; allocates OTS functions among OCC, FDIC, and the Federal Reserve Board; and makes other changes to deposit insurance. Discusses Title VI, which includes numerous provision to addresses perceived inadequacies with respect to prudential regulation of depository institutions and their holding companies.
