In this made for TV movie Kirk Douglas plays Amos Lasher, a fiercely independent senior-citizen baseball coach, is forced to live in a retirement home after an auto accident takes his wife's life and the use of his legs. During his stay, Amos conducts a battle of wills against an unrelenting and overbearing head nurse Daisy Dawes (Elizabeth Montgomery). As time wears on Amos begins to suspect that Dawes has been systematically murdering her more troublesome charges.
