In this documentary, green educator David Chernushenko explores where our energy comes from, who controls and profits from it, and what it would take to ensure a safe, sustainable energy future. Chernushenko's quest began after he discovered that his home's solar panels were producing more energy than he needed, but due to Ontario law, he wasn't allowed to sell or share that excess. Tackling the spin of the energy lobby and, equally, dispelling the myths of a "green utopia," Chernushenko visits places in Europe where renewable energy provides power, creates local jobs, and gets people active in building stronger communities-then tries to find out what's stopping North America from taking the same approach.
