Body composition determinations were made on 404 adult men by use of a volumetric method. The testing of a proposed nomogram for estimation of body volume from height and weight revealed the chart to be biased for adult men. Body volume was found to correlate well with body weight. Body volume of men in liters may be estimated from body weight in kilograms by using a formula.

The ideal weight given on the USAF standard weight table was found to have a correlation coefficient of only 0.672 with calculated percent body fat.
