Photographs and newspaper clippings documenting the launching of the Quint Fleet, five cargo ships built by Walter Butler Shipbuilders, Inc., Superior, Wisconsin, and named for the Dionne quintuplets, 1943. The ships were built for the U.S. Maritime Commission. Included are images of and newspaper clippings and official memorabilia about the ships, the ceremonies where the Dionne sisters christened the ships, and other official activities surrounding launching the ships. The original album was photocopied, the photographs and ephemera were removed from the album pages, and the newspaper clippings were discarded.
