Correspondence, 1947-1949, between Walter and Patricia (Mickey) Radschlag, a Milwaukee married couple, who met while serving in the United States Army in post-World War II Germany. Correspondence includes letters documenting Patricia's divorce from her previous husband, Walter's training and promotion from Staff Sergeant to Lieutenant, and their early married life, much of which was spent apart. Letters also detail everyday life experiences including visits with friends, meals, and health and wellbeing. Patricia spent this time first living in Munich, Germany and in September 1947 moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She then spent this time between Milwaukee and Las Vegas. Walter trained at Camp Hood, Texas (1947-1949) and in 1949 moved to Reno, Nevada. Also included are 7 various army and family photographs including Walter's United States Army I.D. badge.
