Proceedings including minutes of the City of Racine Board of Education and 1 volume of clerk's records for 4 different area rural districts, primarily No. 2, Town of Mt. Pleasant. Information is present on school funds, school board committee reports, teaching requirements and salaries, bid advertisment, textbook trials, school building repairs, leaves of absence, enrollment, and superintendents' reports.

On Reel 1 are original volumes 1-3 (1852-1875); Reel 2, volumes 3-8 (1875-1888); Reel 3, volumes 8-11 (1888-1898); and Reel 4, volumes 11-13 (1898-1903). Reel 5 contains 1 volume, 1840-1903, which primarily is clerk's records for School District No. 2, Town of Mt. Pleasant. However, the earliest years of the volume include minutes of School District No. 5, Town of Racine; School District No. 3, Town of Racine; and School District No. 3, Town of Mt. Pleasant. One of these schools was known as Beebe School, according to the volume's label.
