Typed copies of miscellaneous items preserved or written by Hans Gaebler, Watertown, Wis., including an essay on Watertown's controversial redemption of railroad bonds, 1853-1905; a reminiscence by his father Max of musical activity in Watertown; a 1917 letter from Robert La Follette on World War I issues; a letter from "Aunt Jessie" in Paris at the outbreak of the war, July 31, 1914; and 1885 accounts, some in German and some in English, by "Aunt Sophie" of her experiences as a student of Franz Liszt. Several of these items are extracts from a compilation dubbed "Das Gaebler Museum."
