Correspondence and reports of Albert Orville Wright, an inspector for the State Board of Control overseeing reformatory, charitable, and penal institutions and former secretary of the State Board of Charities and Reform. Includes lists of inmates of various institutions; reports on county asylums in 1895 and 1896, on insane persons whose support was not properly chargeable to the state, and on investigations concerning insane soldiers of the Civil War kept in state hospitals; and correspondence with various charitable organizations in the United States concerning plans for the Twenty-third National Conference of Charities and Correction, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 1896, of which Wright was president.

Also included are letters and circulars relating to the Congregational Church in Wisconsin.
