Environmental impact studies regarding the proposed Exxon Corporation mine at Crandon, Wis., distributed to the public as part of the review process. Included are the 1985 environmental impact report submitted by Exxon, supplementary consultants reports, comments by DNR and the response from Exxon, hearing transcripts of Exxon witnesses before the Division of Hearings and Appeals, maps, the DNR's final 1986 environmental report, and letters of transmittal prepared by staff of the Bureau of Environmental Analysis and Review. Also included are some additional consultant's reports that may not have been distributed to the public; the provenance of these reports is unknown.

- These materials were originally supplied by the DNR to the Brown County Public Library for the purpose of public information during the environmental impact study period. Brown County later transferred the records to the library at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, who offered them to the State Historical Society of Wisconsin.
