Papers of a lieutenant of Co. K, 13th Regiment Wisconsin Volunteers, including his correspondence, 1861-1865, describing camp life, campaign travel, and minor engagements in Tennessee and Alabama; a scrapbook containing certificates, muster rolls, special orders, and other military documents, and clippings from Southern newspapers, 1864, the first issue of "The Wisconsin Volunteer," 1862, a program for a Union prisoners' celebration on July 4, 1862, at Salisbury, N.C., and an authorization to Enos W. Peck to raise a New Jersey militia company, 1826.

Also includes descriptions of the Waupaca, Wisconsin, Veterans' Home and of life at the Molokai, Hawaii, Leper Colony in 1915.
