Letters (1910-1911) of Superintendent George A. Works to suppliers, parents, other superintendents, job applicants, University of Wisconsin faculty, and others. Major concerns include: academic and medical problems of students; filling teaching positions and giving recommendations; curriculum and educational philosophy and practice in the Menomonie school system (an early innovator in manual training and domestic science); and Works' activities as chair of the Wisconsin Superintendents' and Principals' Association. The few letters by Fred Thomson, Works' successor, 1911-1912, deal entirely with routine business matters.
