Presents a more advanced study of the French language, including course material and listening exercises. The coursebook consists of 20 lessons, each covering dialogs; notes on the expressions and grammar used in the dialogs, idioms, and characteristics of the language; grammar and usage studies; cultural notes on business etiquette and the French economy; and a quiz. Four readings are included, as are appendices containing a pronunciation guide, verb charts, grammar summary and glossary of grammatical terms, list of days, months, and seasons; irregular usages and spellings; templates for formal and informal letter-writing; and a bilingual glossary. Recordings are divided into two sets, each of which follows the lessons in the coursebook. The first set is to be used in conjunction with the coursebook and the second is audio only, containing an abridged dialog, most important vocabulary and grammar points, and supplementary exercises.
