This series contains information on River Falls graduates who served in World War II including a card file for each alumnus with name, date of entry, branch of service, rank, theater of action (if overseas), and decorations, including a very small section of female alumna enlisted in organizations such as the Women's Army Corps, the Army Nurse Corps, Women Accepted for Voluntary Emergency Service, and the American Red Cross (1941-45); Armed Force news releases and photographs concerning River Falls alumni and students (1941-46); correspondence from servicemen, the majority of which were written to State Teachers College secretery Miss Ethel West, or to President Ames (1942-44); Newsletter: Dean Stratton to River Falls (1942-45). The majority of the collection focuses on World War II but there is a single folder of miscellaneous papers which include items from World War I. These miscellaneous papers include a letter to the St. Croix County Board of Commissioners from the United States Navy announcing a naval attack transport being named after Saint Croix County.
