Files documenting the career of Morris D. Hayes, University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire Director of Choral Organizations from 1966-1987. Files dealing with Hayes' male chorus (The Singing Statesmen), his participation in the American Choral Directors Association (of which he was national president from 1972-74), Intercollegiate Music Council Minutes from the 1980s, and documentation of his many trips abroad either through UWEC or the International Youth Committee's "People-to-People International" program comprise large sections of this collection. There is also a box of photographs, many of which are documenting the Statesmen. Some material covers Hayes' days at Kansas State University in the early 1960s. Also included are two audiocassettes, "A Choral Salute to Morris D. Hayes," which occurred October 24-25, 1987 and past performances of the concert choir and Singing Statesmen from 1986-1987. Also includes a cassette tape recording of the Distinguished Service Award Presentation of the Wisconsin Music Educators Conference, presented by Ralph Houghton to Morris Hayes on Oct. 23, 1980. Includes 2 blue and gold beanie hats that say "Morris Hayes."
