A docu-drama containing re-enactments "based on real events that took place in the State of Wisconsin between 1890 and 1900. All the stories are authentic news reports from a newspaper published in the town of Black River Falls, an isolated community in the north of the state. The newspaper was the paper of record for the surrounding county and was edited by an Englishman called Frank Cooper. The photographs are largely the work of Charles Van Schaick, a professional photographer who lived in Black River Falls in the 1890's"--Screen.
