These 60-90 minute interviews were recorded in conjunction with the art exhibit, Women of Metal, held at the University of Wisconsin--Whitewater and comprise the oral history portion of the project. The exhibition of metal artists was held from Sept. 9-Oct. 18, 2008 in the Crossman Gallery on campus. The interviews were conducted during 2007-2008. The artists were chosen to participate in the exhibit and interviews because of their professional and educational connections to Wisconsin.
