Jake Hoeschler talks with Howard Fredericks regarding his childhood experiences and adult life in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Fredericks describes Hoeschler as an outstanding citizen and a colorful member of the La Crosse community. Jake Hoeschler describes the many businesses his family was involved with over the years, including their successful pharmaceutical and real estate businesses, and his many donations to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Jake and his wife Janet also sponsored many UW-L scholarships, including the Award for Excellence in the College of Business in 1992. Hoeschler donated the Riverside Park fountain which was built in 1981. He was also inducted into the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse Wall of Fame in 1988. Mr. Hoeschler also talks of past and present social conditions.
