"Set by M&H type in Frederic Goudy's 14 point Californian. The headers are in Goudy's Mediaeval cast by Theo Rehak as were the initials. The paper is Rives, a mold-made sheet from France. The book was bound at the Campbell-Logan Bindery in John DePol's pattern paper. The title-page illustration by Edward Burne-Jones is from the Chaucer. In the text "Kelmscott/Goudy" was divided by the slash. However, on the title-page and with the headers the printer (Neil Shaver) preferred the appearance without the slash. The slash may be useful, but not attractive in prominent positions." -- Colophon.
Printed on antique white paper; quarter bound in dark blue cloth with light blue patterned paper over boards.
