Abstract: In her 2009 interview with Emma Schroeder, Glenda Denniston shares her memories about volunteering and working for the Lakeshore Nature Preserve along the shores of Lake Mendota. Denniston recalls the Kline-Bader plan, the work and leadership of the Lakeshore Preserve Committee, invasive plant species, and memories of the Frautschi family who gave the land as a gift to the University in the 1980s. This interview was conducted for inclusion in a Master's thesis on the Eagle Heights Community Gardens.
