Abstract: In his 2009 interview with Emma Schroeder, David Shiffert discusses his memories of the Eagle Heights Community Garden. Shiffert describes his efforts at organic gardening, the "hardcore" gardeners he met, the Community Garden committees, his tenure as the garden chair, international residents, seed swaps, tensions with the university, and raising a young family in Eagle Heights. This interview was conducted for inclusion in a Master's thesis on the Eagle Heights Community Gardens.
